9 Best Shopify Customer Support Outsourcing Companies in 2026

Written by Ingrid Galvez | Published on October 16, 2026 | 16 min read

The best Shopify customer support outsourcing companies in 2026 are Atidiv, EverHelp, SupportYourApp, Influx, HelpSquad, Helpware, Horatio, IntelligentBee and Simply Contact. For a Shopify store, the useful differences are which helpdesks the agents already know (Gorgias, Zendesk, Re:amaze and the rest), what they are allowed to do in your Shopify admin, and how they staff Black Friday Cyber Monday. Three of the nine publish a starting price. This list compares all nine.

Key takeaway: Atidiv is the best fit for consumer and DTC brands in the US, UK and Australia on Shopify that want one team covering chat, email, phone and social across the whole order, inside the helpdesk and Shopify apps they already run, with peak season planned ahead. A small store that wants a published hourly rate should look at HelpSquad. A brand that wants month-to-month per-agent pricing should look at Influx.

Every fact below about a provider comes from that provider’s own website, and each entry links to the page it came from. We have not added ratings, reviews or prices that a provider does not publish.

Why Shopify merchants have to shop around for this

Shopify does not run a marketplace for support teams. Its Partner Directory lists service categories for marketing, store setup, development, branding, content writing and expert guidance, but no customer support category. Shopify’s own guide to customer service outsourcing companies names six providers, four of which (SupportYourApp, Influx, HelpSquad and Simply Contact) are also on this list. The rest of the work is comparing providers on the points below.

1. Atidiv

Best for: consumer and direct-to-consumer brands in the US, UK and Australia on Shopify that want pre-sales questions, order problems and post-purchase work handled by one team.

A Shopify store’s support queue follows the order. Before checkout it is sizing, stock and shipping cutoffs. At checkout it is payment gateways and discount codes. After it, it is tracking, returns, exchanges and refunds. Atidiv’s Shopify customer service outsourcing staffs that whole run for US, UK and Australian Shopify merchants, across live chat, email, phone and social media, around the clock.

Our agents are trained on how Shopify stores actually run: the apps, the payment gateways and the shipping integrations. They work inside the helpdesk you already use, including Gorgias, Re:amaze, Richpanel and Zendesk, rather than moving you onto ours. Our note on how our team works in Gorgias shows what that looks like day to day. We also report on what the tickets say: trends in customer behavior, recurring product issues and where the store can improve.

What the numbers look like across our accounts:

  • An average QA score of 98% and an average CSAT of 4.8.
  • A cost saving of up to 60% against an in-house team.
  • Support in 11+ languages.
  • More than 200,000 holiday tickets resolved for DTC brands last year.
  • Teams scaled by up to 200% within two weeks when a peak moves faster than forecast.

Black Friday Cyber Monday is planned, not absorbed. We forecast from last year’s ticket curve, hire and train ahead of the ramp, and treat January returns as a second peak. Our BFCM cost analysis sets out the numbers behind that choice. Brands on other platforms, or with a mixed stack, can read our ecommerce customer service outsourcing page.

Pricing: a quote follows a short call. Most brands start with a pilot on a slice of volume, so transcripts and quality scores can be read before a team size is fixed.

Worth knowing: Atidiv is built for consumer brands selling to US, UK and Australian customers. A store that needs support in dozens of European languages is better served by SupportYourApp or Simply Contact.

2. EverHelp

Best for: Shopify stores that want published reply-time targets and a choice of how much AI answers.

EverHelp’s Shopify service promises a team trained on your store and live in 28 days. It says it works inside the Shopify ecosystem and names the tools: Gorgias, Zendesk, Re:amaze, Loop Returns, AfterShip and Shopify Flow. Its stated targets are email replies within 10 minutes and live chat responses within 45 seconds on average. For BFCM it says it can add up to 40 agents a month.

EverHelp sells two levels of automation through its AI agent, Evly: up to 40% with people leading and the AI assisting, and 85% with AI running most interactions end to end and people overseeing. Its homepage says it hires across Eastern and Central Europe, Latin America and Asia, with 35+ languages covered by people and 95+ with AI.

Pricing: EverHelp’s pricing page offers dedicated teams billed monthly and shared plans billed per ticket. Prices are quoted.

Worth knowing: decide your automation level before you compare quotes. An 85% AI plan and a 40% plan are different products at different prices.

3. SupportYourApp

Best for: Shopify brands selling internationally that need many languages and certified payment security.

SupportYourApp’s Shopify customer support covers product and offer questions, shipping and delivery support, and cover during seasonal spikes, with reporting on first reply rate, resolution rate, average handling time and customer satisfaction. It also runs helpdesk migrations to Gorgias, Zendesk, Freshdesk or Intercom, and separate support for Amazon sellers. The company says it works with 250 companies across 30+ countries, and it is one of the six providers in Shopify’s own guide.

Its pricing page offers a human team, dedicated or shared; AI layered onto your team; or AI plus its agents. Its people cover 60+ languages. It lists ISO 27001 certification, PCI DSS Level 1, and GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA compliance.

Pricing: quoted, based on the route, team size, languages and hours.

Worth knowing: SupportYourApp also sells technical support to software companies. Ask how many Shopify stores the proposed team lead has run through a BFCM.

4. Influx

Best for: growth-stage Shopify brands that want month-to-month rates with no setup fee.

Influx has run support since 2013 and says it works with ecommerce, SaaS and consumer brands from around $2M to $200M in revenue. Its ecommerce page lists Gorgias, Shopify, Zendesk and Stripe among the platforms it partners with. A separate Shopify Partner page offers one month of free service to Shopify Partners, and says agents connect directly to your existing helpdesk across billing, refunds, onboarding, technical support and pre-sales.

Its pricing page publishes two products. Talent as a Service, where you run training and process, starts at $1,000 a month per agent, with the price set by agent level, region and channel. Managed Operations, where Influx runs the team, starts at $2,000 a month per agent, plus a fractional team leader at extra cost. Both are month to month with one month’s notice, no setup fee and 24/7 coverage.

Pricing: from $1,000 a month per agent.

Worth knowing: the free month is described as a perk for Shopify Partners. If you are a merchant rather than a partner agency, ask whether it applies to you.

5. HelpSquad

Best for: smaller Shopify stores that want a published hourly rate and a US-managed provider.

HelpSquad’s ecommerce service runs managed chat, voice and email teams for online stores, covering order support, returns and refunds, pre-sales chat, abandoned-cart recovery and peak cover, 24/7. It names Shopify, Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, Magento and BigCommerce, and helpdesks and tools including Zendesk, Gorgias, Kustomer, Re:amaze, Gladly, Intercom and Klaviyo. It says a team can go live in about two weeks and scale from 2 agents to 20 over a weekend. Routine returns, exchanges and partial refunds are handled within your policy, with complex decisions escalated to you.

HelpSquad’s homepage describes it as US-managed from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. It is one of the six providers in Shopify’s own guide.

Pricing: $8 to $10 an hour for back-office agents and $10 to $13 an hour for customer-facing chat and voice, for full-time schedules. It lists no setup, implementation or replacement fees. Part-time schedules start at 20 hours a week and are quoted.

Worth knowing: much of HelpSquad’s site is written for healthcare practices. Ask for an ecommerce reference and who on its team has run a Shopify queue.

6. Helpware

Best for: larger Shopify brands that need many languages and a provider with many delivery sites.

Helpware’s ecommerce support says 400+ brands use it to run ecommerce support as one AI-enabled, human-led layer, holding 90% CSAT through peak season across 45+ languages. It says it works with everything from fast-growing Shopify brands to global retail operations, and handles escalations, refunds and order disputes through set workflows. It names Shopify and Shopify Plus on the storefront side and Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk, Kustomer, HubSpot and Salesforce Service Cloud on the helpdesk side, and says it pre-trains ramp agents 8 to 12 weeks ahead of Cyber Week. Its customer support page lists 19 locations, including the USA, Mexico, Uganda, the Philippines, Ukraine and Georgia.

Pricing: Helpware’s ecommerce page puts rates at $8 to $15 an hour offshore, $12 to $22 nearshore and $28 to $42 onshore in the US. Its pricing page sells dedicated agents only, in three packages, and final prices are quoted.

Worth knowing: Helpware serves marketplaces and global retailers as well as Shopify brands. Ask which of its 19 locations would staff your store and how many Shopify accounts that site runs today.

7. Horatio

Best for: Shopify brands that want a nearshore team in US time zones and the option to visit it.

Horatio’s ecommerce service names integrations with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom builds. It describes AI handling routine requests such as where is my order and ticket summaries, so agents concentrate on the cases that need a person. Horatio’s homepage lists offices in Santiago and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Bogotá, San Pedro Sula in Honduras and Miami, and says a program can launch in as little as two weeks.

Pricing: not published. Horatio quotes after a call.

Worth knowing: Horatio also sells fintech compliance and healthcare support. Ask how many Shopify stores the proposed team supports today.

8. IntelligentBee

Best for: Shopify stores that would rather pay per conversation than per seat.

IntelligentBee’s ecommerce support offers 24/7 support tailored for Shopify and WooCommerce stores, covering order inquiries, shipping and returns, payment support, product questions and live chat, plus app store reviews, social comments and DMs. You can choose a dedicated team or start with a pilot project. It states a 40% cost reduction against in-house teams and 1M+ tickets resolved for ecommerce brands.

Billing is per interaction: one email, one call or one full chat conversation is one unit, with no charge for idle time. Its email support page sets out plans from 150 interactions a month, with a business-hours English plan and a managed plan that runs up to 24/7 in five languages and more, with a team lead and QA.

Pricing: billed per interaction; the rate for each band is quoted.

Worth knowing: per-conversation billing is predictable only if you know your volume. Pull last November’s ticket count from your helpdesk before you pick a band.

9. Simply Contact

Best for: Shopify brands with customers across Europe who need native-speaker support.

Simply Contact’s ecommerce service offers 24/7 support in 30+ languages across phone, email, live chat and social media, with a nesting period that tests the process before volume scales. Voice agents are native speakers, and on written channels AI translation extends the range, with the team checking the output. It offers the option to pay per resolved contact instead of per seat. Its about page says it was founded in 2013 and lists delivery locations in the UK, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is one of the six providers in Shopify’s own guide.

Pricing: not published. Simply Contact quotes on request.

Worth knowing: its ecommerce page shows Shopify among the platforms it supports but does not name a helpdesk. Ask which Shopify helpdesks its agents work in today.

How to choose a Shopify customer support outsourcing company

Every provider says it knows Shopify. These questions show whether it does.

What will agents be allowed to do in our Shopify admin?

Support in Shopify runs on staff permissions. Shopify’s store permissions split viewing orders, editing orders, and refunding to the original payment method or to store credit into separate permissions, and customer profiles have their own view and edit permissions. Shopify also notes that within a store you cannot restrict permissions to individual orders, products or customers. So decide which roles the outsourced team gets, and set a refund limit and an approval rule in your helpdesk before launch.

Which helpdesk and Shopify apps do your agents already know?

Gorgias, Re:amaze, Richpanel and Zendesk each handle macros, order actions and automation differently. So do returns apps and tracking apps. Ask the provider to name the stores it runs in your helpdesk today, and to show a sample of macros.

How do you staff BFCM, and when does planning start?

Ask for a plan with dates: when peak hiring starts, how new agents are trained before the ramp, and how many extra agents can be added in two weeks. January returns are a second peak. Our peak season staffing playbook sets out how we plan it.

How is the price built?

Rates come per hour (HelpSquad), per agent per month (Influx), per ticket (EverHelp’s shared plans), per interaction (IntelligentBee), per resolved contact (Simply Contact’s option) or by quote. Ask what the rate includes: QA, a team lead, training, workforce management and software seats.

What will AI answer, and who checks it?

Most providers now pair AI with people. Ask which ticket types would be automated, what share of your volume that is, and how a wrong automated answer is caught before it reaches a customer. Where is my order is easy to automate. A damaged-goods complaint is not.

Which languages, and on which shifts?

If you sell into Europe or Latin America, ask whether your languages are staffed by native speakers or translated by AI, and whether they are covered at night and at weekends.

Can we start with a pilot?

A pilot on part of your volume shows real transcripts and quality scores before you commit. Ask what it costs and what notice applies if it does not work out. Our note on testing outsourcing with a small pilot team covers how to scope one.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Shopify customer support outsourcing cost?

Among the providers on this list that publish prices, HelpSquad lists $8 to $10 an hour for back-office agents and $10 to $13 an hour for chat and voice. Helpware lists $8 to $15 an hour offshore and $12 to $22 nearshore. Influx starts at $1,000 a month per agent when you manage the team and $2,000 a month when Influx manages it. The others quote after a call. Atidiv’s saving against an in-house team is up to 60%.

Does Shopify recommend customer support outsourcing companies?

Shopify’s Partner Directory has no customer support category. Shopify’s blog does publish a guide to customer service outsourcing companies that names six providers: SupportYourApp, Influx, AnswerFirst, ResultsCX, HelpSquad and Simply Contact.

Can an outsourced team issue refunds in Shopify?

Yes, if you give its staff accounts the refund permission. Shopify separates refunds to the original payment method from refunds to store credit, so you can grant one without the other. Set a refund limit and an escalation rule before launch.

How fast can an outsourced Shopify support team go live?

Published timelines on this list run from about two weeks (HelpSquad) and as little as two weeks (Horatio) to 28 days (EverHelp) and four to five weeks from contract (Simply Contact). Allow extra time for staff accounts, helpdesk access and training on your return policy.

What should a Shopify store outsource first?

Post-purchase tickets are the usual starting point: where is my order, returns, exchanges and address changes. They are the largest share of volume, the answers follow clear rules, and quality is easy to measure.
